  • I had an old US 8830 locked to Verizon that I wanted to put back into use as a GSM phone in UK. For some reason everywhere else I had tried online had given me instructions to read the IMEI using *#06# function and combine it to the PRD code, but it would always come back as an invalid IMEI. I downloaded the handy MEP reader utility and read the IMEI directly from the phone (the last digit was in fact a 9 and not a .0 the screen code would show). I tapped in IMEI and MEP code results on the sim-unlock.net site, paid the meagre €4.99. The unlock code was emailed after just 6 minutes and I had the phone unlocked and happily connected to Orange in under ten minutes. Excellent service

Comment entrer le code sur le mobile Blackberry 8830 ?

1. Allumez le mobile
2. Allez dans les options, puis dans les options avancées (options>advanced options)
3. Sélectionnez la carte SIM (SIM card)
4. Entrez le mot MEPD ou MEPPD (le texte n'apparaît pas à l'écran)
5. Le menu de verrouillage sim apparaît, sélectionnez le réseau (network)
6. Entrez le mot MEP2 ou MEPP2 (le texte inscrit n'apparaît pas à l'écran)
7. Entrez le code de déverrouillage et confirmez
8. Le téléphone est déverrouillé.

Attention!!
Vous pouvez saisir le code pour les téléphones BlackBerry, seulement 5 fois. Avant la commande, vérifiez si le compteur n'est pas bloqué. Si, après avoir tapé MEP2, il apparaît l’inscription"left 0" cela signifie que toutes les tentatives ont été utilisées et que vous ne pouvez pas saisir le code.
